Description

शारीरकमीमांसाभाष्यम् 2 भागो में (Sharirak Mimansa Bhashyam Set of 2 Vols.) The Sarirakamimansa is divided into four chapters, each of which is further divided into four sections which are further divided into heads whose numbers vary. The first chapter mainly dwells upon those Upaniṣad-passages which deal with the cause of the universe. The ultimate cause according to the Veda, is Brahman. The second chapter mainly deals with the views of the opponents and answers them logically. Of course, logic implies that the principle enunciated is according to the text of the Vedas. Since the arguments posed against it are framed logically so they are answered also in a logical manner. The third chapter deals with the means of attaining liberation while the fourth describes different aspects of liberation. The first section of the chapter demonstrates that all the Upanisads establish the non-dual Brahman which is identical with the soul i.e. Atma. At some places it is done directly, elsewhere indirectly, but the purpose everywhere is the same.
