Pancatantram

Description

Pancatantram Pañcatantram embodies five (pañca) tantra (or bhāga) which jointly make it Pañcatantra (actually ‘tantra’ carries wide concept or meanings in general); and pañcatantra, in present context, specifically comprises five sets or sections viz. Miträbheda, Mitra-samprāpti, Sandhivigraha (Käkolukiyam), Labdhapraņāśaka and Aparīkşitakāraka, and these tantras consist of many stories or tales principal or major story-forming individual tantras (ramified with several intertales), running like serial with several episodes which are relevantly corelated in better presentation. Significantly, the valuable place of Aparikşitakāraka is well depicted in its fifteen stories or tales (kathās),
