श्रीमद्भागवते अद्वैतमतप्रतिष्ठा (Srimad Bhagavate Advaita Mata Pratishtha) Bhagavatapurana is one of the most popularly known texts of Indian Philosophy and religion. This text has also provided philosophical foundations to many Bhakti-sampradayas too. Many Vedic Philosophical systems have drawn corroborative evidence in support of their respective philosophical stand-point from this text.
Dr. D. Ramakrishna while interpreting the Bhagavatapurana in the light of the Advaita doctrine has seen that the Brahman is the intended meaning of the entire text. The Brahman is the eternal Bliss. It is of the nature of Ultimate Reality. According to him the Bhagavatapurana is an echo of the Upanisadic concept of the Brahman. The Brahman is sat, cit, and ananda. The maya is anadi and because of the influence of this maya the world binds a jiva. The world is a super- imposition on that eternal existence. In reality that is the real nature of jiva and he should try to descover his own real nature through sadhana. A jiva is nothing but the same sat, cit and ananda. In fact there is nothing other than the brahman which is Real.
Dr. D. Ramakrishna has presented this Monism in this work and has corroborated his interpretation with relevant quotations from the Bhagavata. This has made the work most authentic. The present work reflects sound knowledge of different systems of Indian philosophy on the part fo Dr. D. Ramakrishna. His Sanskrit language of presentation is also very lucid and shastric in style.
